The Gregory B. Davis Foundation (GBDF) and the Roanoke Valley Breast Cancer Coalition (RVBCC) recently received funding from CDC Foundation (CDCF) to support effective community outreach centered on communities of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) to share accurate, culturally appropriate information about the COVID-19 and influenza vaccines and to link adults to vaccine services. The Partners are launching a program, “Because You Matter...Vaccinate: Facts Not Fear,” to support the following countries Halifax, Northampton, and Warren.
Funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Foundation, the PARTNER, INFORM, EDUCATE (P.I.E.) Project is a partnership between GBDF and the Roanoke Valley Breast Cancer Coalition with the aim of encouraging people to learn all they can about the COVID-19 vaccine to feel more confident in their decision about taking the vaccination.
